McDonald offers a variety of water Sampling Stations to include meter resetting devices for 5/8”, 5/8” x 3/4”, 3/4” and 1” meter sets along with a Dead End Line option. The basic sampling station meter re-setter is compact enough to fit in most meter boxes and allows a sampling station to be added wherever you have access to a meter set. These meter resetters provide a sampling point on public right-of-way; options for additional shut off valves, and/or dual check valves for backflow protection. Its below grade design provides protection from freezing, vandals and traffic. Simple to install, no digging or plumbing is required. The sampling portion of these re-setters is protected from contaminates by a PVC cap and o-ring seal. Once the cap is removed, it allows you access to a quick connect valve for taking water samples with our sampling rod faucet. The sampling rod faucet is made of stainless steel and no-lead brass and includes a no-lead shut off valve. It also includes a pressure gauge for determining line pressure at the point of sample, up to 160 PSIG. The quick disconnect is protected from contaminants via o-ring seal and PVC cap. A water sample is drawn by connecting the male quick connect on the sampling rod to the female quick connect on the sampling re-setter.
