McDonald Ball Style Corporation Stops with Dielectric Bushings come standard with a 360º operating head and are designed for low turning torques and operating pressures up to 300 PSI. The brass ball is coated with PTFE and supported by two blow-out proof EPDM seals. The end piece that holds the ball in the body is sealed with an EPDM O-ring and thread locker. A.Y. McDonald ball valves have no metal-to-metal contact between the ball and the body to cause higher turning torques and increased wear on the ball. The leak proof feature at 300 PSI rating makes these valves a better choice than a plug valve when test or operating pressures exceed 80 PSI. - All A.Y. McDonald Ball Style Corporation Stops with Dielectric Bushings are available with a wide variety of outlet connections. - Each A.Y. McDonald Ball Style Corporation Stop with Dielectric Bushing is pressure tested prior to packaging. - Assembly is shipped with a color coded inlet thread protector - Green for AWWA/CC threads, Yellow for AWWA MNPT. - A.Y. McDonald 3/4” and 1” “G”, “H”, “K”, “Q”, “T”, “-22” and 1 1/4” “Q” series compression and flare outlets use the same female screw plug. The 1 1/2” and 2” “G”,” Q”, “T”, and “-22” Series use special female screw plugs. - A. Y. McDonald 3/4” and 1” “-3G”, “-3Q”, “-33”, “-34”, “-44”, “-55”, and 1 1/2” “-33” are one size larger thread. Example: 3/4” “-33” is 1” AWWA flare nut thread. See charts pages 78-79. - Insert stiffeners are required for use in all PE applications.
