Co. is a CTS and PEP Compression connection that is available in 3/4”, 1”, 1 1/4”, 1 1/2” and 2” sizes. This connection can be utilized on all A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. McQuik series end connections by removing the “Q or -3Q” Compression assembly and replacing it with the "G or -3G" assembly. The brass nuts are made from C83600 ASTM B584 brass along with EPDM rubber gasket, Stainless steel washer and Phosphorus Bronze grip ring. For use with Copper tube, (“K” & “L” Hard or Soft) or CTS PE (ASTM D2737 SDR 9) with appropriate Insert Stiffener. For use with PEP (ASTM D2662 SIDR 7) with Model 6136 Insert Stiffener. Features: - Large wrench flats for easier installation - Tighten to Shoulder Stop - Interchangeability with any A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. McQuik Series To Order: - Replace the “Q” in our model number with a “G” to get the McGrip. McGrip - G & -3G Series Handy-Loc - H & -3H Series Copper tube, CTS PE (G & -3G) is stabbed through the nut and grip ring/friction ring and gasket assembly to stab depth. The G & -3G nut is tightened to the stop/ shoulder on the body, which compresses the EPDM gasket and phosphorus bronze gripper, which creates a water-tight seal and pull-out strength. The Handy-Loc is available for use with the 3/4” and 1” CTS (ASTM D2737 SDR 9) and PEP (ASTM D2239 SIDR 7) tubing and can be disengaged from the pipe without the need for any special tools. The Handy-Loc comes pre-assembled to Q or -3Q end connection at required torque, so additional installation is not required. Just chamfer and stab in tube to required depth, pull to set the grip ring, and test assembly. The Handy-Loc doesn’t require or allow an insert stiffener and is available anywhere a McDonald 3/4” or 1” Q or -3Q exists. Also, available on valves, meter setters, and couplings - the Handy-Loc allows for cross compatibility between the nuts of McDonald fittings which reduces stock and eliminates the need for an adapter.
